Get a Move On...

Hi. I've been helping my sister move today. She's going to stay with my parents and me for about 3 or 4 weeks while they finalize the purchase of their first home!!! How exciting is that! Anyway, I've got to rest for a little while before I get back over there to help some more.

P.S. Does anyone know about exercise techniques? I have a routine and it requires a lot of squats and lunges and my knees are not liking it. I'm wondering if I'm doing it wrong.

Pop Icon Passes

I have to admit, I think it's sad that Michael is no longer with us. At the same time I think the poor man suffered through an internal hell his whole life, so he's probably feeling much better now that he's on the other side. I love watching his early music videos on Halloween with my cousins. Most of his music was pretty cool too.

I always wondered why he had so many plastic surgeries and why he wanted to be white and not black. I thought he looked really good as a black man. His nose for sure did. At any rate, my heart goes out to his family and all those who love him.

Tonight I was out with Elisa and her little boys. We had dinner at Arctic Circle and when we were leaving Elisa accidentally ran into the curb. She said, "For the love!" and Bryce said, "Mommy, Please don't say that" When she asked him why not he said, "Because it freaks me out!" lol! We were laughing so hard. I thought for sure that pregnant Elisa was going to pee herself.

I'm still job hunting. I am seriously hoping the Reagan job will come through, but if not, then I will keep looking.

I've been spending some time looking for records to add to my genealogy. The lady at the library sorta freaked out when I asked her how to look up death certificates/ wills in Rhode Island for a guy who I hope really belongs to my line, but I'm not positive. She said I HAVE to find death records for his son and grandson before I even think about looking for him. Sheesh. Well his son is mister missing link. His name is William Lindsay and the only thing I know about him is that we think he was born in 1775 in Scotland. It's hard to say.

I really want to find proof of him and his father and hopefully that'll lead me to many more generations that are currently lost to me. So if you know where William is, please let me know. I've been looking for him for a long time.

Another awesome interview

I had another great interview yesterday. This one was for a graphic design position with Reagan Outdoor Advertising. Yeah, they're the ones who do most of the billboards. It was so great! I'd love to get that job.

I went into the interview thinking I didn't have much of a chance and so I was thinking to myself, "just have fun, Heidi" and I DID! I had so much fun that I want to work there! I hope I did well enough to get a second interview. Everyone who prays, please include a little one for me to get a job that I love as much as I did that one! :) Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I've got a million things that I am "supposed" to be doing today, I can't make up my mind which one to do first. We're getting a new water softener installed today (Huzza!) lol. Maybe I'll go straighten up the laundry room.

In the meantime, Here's some pictures of the little guy I spend pretty much all of my time with these days. Don't be fooled by that innocent little face. lol. He's always getting into something, but I really love him. He's so cute.

Getting to know my Great Grandparents

These are my great grandparents on my grandmother Lindsay's side. They are Vyla and Ira Frost. I've been reading about them in some biographies my family has put together.
It's so fun to get to know my family. Both of them died before I could really get to know them.

I am entertained to see where some of the habits of my Grandma must've come from and where some of her sayings came from when I read the stories. Vyla was quite the character from all that I can tell. No wonder I ended up with such a neat grandmother. :) She was also talking about how cold she always was, I think Granny is cold quite often. Fun fun.

Also, don't tell my dad, because he hates the spotlight, but I think he has similar physical characteristics to my Great grandfather Ira. It will be interesting to see how he looks as he continues to age. Dear old daddy. :) I don't think he reads my blog, so no one tell him okay!

In other news, I had one more call for an interview this week with Reagan Advertising. They do the billboards along the highway and such.

Still feeling a little strange in this transition from school.

Still Job Hunting

I still don't have a job. I have been applying to a lot of different places and I have really liked the two places that I have interviewed with. One is a children's clothing company and the other was a company that design's people's inventions and helps them brand themselves. Both are graphic design positions.

I heard back from the invention place today, they went with someone else. I feel okay about that. The clothing company is much more my thing and my speed. They have the cutest outfits! I think the job would be challenging and great fun at the same time. I won't know on that one for a few weeks.

Other than that, life has been busy as usual. I went yesterday to Andrea's boys' T-ball game. That was a lot of fun! Andrea's boys show a great deal of talent with sports. Both of them were able to hit the ball without the T. It's a lot of fun to watch kids of this age group play sports! :) They're all so cute and just learning so they go the wrong way or score for the other team. lol. All sorts of entertaining.

I also got a taste of what it is like to be the mother of four children. My hat is off to all of you mother's out there! I don't know how you keep track of all of them all at the same time! I about had a heart attack when Casey disappeared yesterday. I had been watching Brook go down the slide and clapping for her and had just barely seen him climbing on the jungle gym. I looked all over the playground and he was nowhere to be found. My heart about dropped out of my mouth! I was so scared. All the while I was looking for him I was trying to keep track of the other 3 children! As it turns out, he had run into the bathroom and was trying to catch mosquitos.

As I put the kids to bed we said night time prayers and I had a difficult time not laughing as each child thanked Heavenly Father that they "survived the night with Aunt Heidi." Lol!!! They actually used the word "survived"!!! Too funny! I am glad that they survived the night with me too! They're so much fun. I love kids! I can't wait to have my own.

Anyhow, I have the rest of the day off from serious stuff so I am going to go work on some chores.
