Lost it. :(

Well... looks like nothing is going to come easy for me right now in life. Due to my messed up nerve and messed up fingers, I was let go from my job. It was slowing me down enough that they felt really bad, but needed someone else due to their work load.

I'm sad, but okay about it. I will get better and then start looking again. Just typing this little thing is killing my hands and wrists. Talk to you all later.

More about work

Hi. A few photos for you of this weekend's fun. I made the owl craft with my niece Erika. I saw the idea online. A lady was selling a kit for them, but I'm poor so I had to use stuff I already have to make them. I think they turned out really cute. Mine is the "Hoo's There?" one.


Then this is Whiskers. He's my nephews cat. They're probably moving soon somewhere that they can't have cats, so I volunteered to take the cats. There's another one. Her name is Penny, but she was being too shy to get her photo taken right now.

As far as work goes, I don't know how I like it yet because I was only able to work 2 days last week. This pinched nerve thing is killing me. It is strange... I'll start feeling better, but if I try to do anything (especially with the computer) it aggravates it and it hurts like crazy. Sigh. I am anxious to get done with the training phase of work so I can feel like I actually add to the company, but with this injury, I am just not being productive at all!

I am going to talk to the manager tomorrow and see what he wants to do. I am going to give them the option of finding someone else just in case this doesn't get better soon. I feel really bad about it! Anyway, I'll keep you updated.

Silly Dream

I had the dumbest dream...
I went to a conference where Barack Obama spoke. When it was over there were a bunch of people walking home and I bumped into him. I told him I was concerned about his Health Care Reform and he told me he would look over it again. Then he walked me home. REally strange.

Pin pricking

I have the most irritating pain in my hands. My middle two fingers are still numb. I went to see a doctor about it today. One hundred and twenty four dollars later, it doesn't hurt quite so bad, but they're still completely asleep and feeling the pin prickly feeling. AAAAHHH!!! Hope it will go away soon!

The job is going alright. Had to take today off because of the pain, but I'll be in there tomorrow. There's lots to learn. It is out close to my old town and it was SO strange to be back over there and see all that has changed.

Anyway, that's about it for my nerdy little life right now. Everyone send labor waves to my little sister if you will. I am excited to see my new niece and I know Elisa's excited to have her body back to herself! lol.

New Job Starts Tomorrow

I am so excited to start my new job tomorrow! I'm working for SnugZ. They make all kinds of products for companies and put their logo's on them. They are most well known for their lanyards though like the one above. I'll be a production artist. That means I'll take logos and artwork and put them into the computer and get them ready to be printed onto the merchandise.

Other exciting news; my sister will be having her baby any day now.

Sad news: My great uncle Gerald died a few days ago. I'm sure he is happy, but I am going to miss him.
Also, my other sis is moving away very soon. The only good thing about that is that I get to babysit her cats while she's gone. ... Maybe permanently. :) That is GREAT news because I LOVE cats and have wanted one for ages.
And finally, sad news #3; my fingers on both hands are asleep and have been for a whole week. I think I must've damaged the nerves somehow with my donut frying job. I really hope the feeling comes back soon! I don't have enough money (and no insurance) to see a doctor.

Sweating Crisco

SO in case some of you were wondering, I did get myself a new job as an early morning donut fryer at the grocery store down the hill. I started on Monday, but it feels like AGES. Lol. That's probably because I have to wake up around 2:30 in the morning and I don't get home from work until about 10:30 or later most days. The people I work with are really funny and the job isn't that bad. The only thing thats rough is the early mornings and the fact that my face gets coated with vaporized shortening every day. I thought I had oily skin before... HA!

lol. My dog likes my new job. When I got home the other day I had frosting stuck on the bottom of my shoes. I sat down on the couch and was dosing off when he came up and started licking it off. I swear he licked my foot for 15 minutes before I got the energy up to take my shoes down to the wash!

Anyway, it is about 7:30 and time for me to go to bed. Sigh... I hope I can get used to this schedule. I had another interview today for a company doing production art. That means I'd take people's drawings and put them into the computer and get them ready for production. I would like it. It doesn't sound too stressful and I would get SO fast at illustration on the computer. They said they've had a TON of applicants though... So... I'm just hoping I impressed them. We'll see.

You can tell I'm tired because I could so easily go on rambling... But in the interest of keeping you all as my friends, I'll stop. :-S

I'm going to go scrape another layer of grease off of my skin. ;)

Well I've been frying donuts for 2 days now and I'm about to go do it for a third. I have to get ready. It's my job for a while. ANYway, I'll say more later.
