SD card recovered!

Since St. Patty's day is next and not easter... but I couldn't wait... The chickens are adorning the fake clover plant I put on my desk.

Yay water marbles! Joanns fabric and craft store has got a little bit more of my money... again. sigh.
This tiny little bag held a ton of the tiny, dried out water marbles. It was full about to where my thumb is in the picture.
I thought they would all fit into this lovely little vase... So I dumped them in, poured in the distilled water and went into the other room to watch t.v.
...
I came back and...
Yeah... they filled up this whole huge bowl plus a vase on my desk at work. They are absolutely intriguing... Every time I walk by them I just HAVE to stick my hand in there and play with them. They feel so strange and they're bouncy and blue!
See... look how fun they are!

I need to be stopped. Look at all this stuff I got from the craft stores. I am pretty sure that my coworkers think I'm NUTS! My desk is littered with ... ... . . . cuteness!

So I was just about to upload a few more pictures when kitty decided she needed to help me by rubbing her face against the SD card... Next thing I know the darn thing has vanished out of sight. I heard it fall on the floor, but I have looked for 20 minutes and cant find it! :-/

Grrr! I sure hope I find it soon.

Anyway, I'm just working and doing my bookbinding class. Loving it LOVING it! This Wednesday I'll be putting together my 4th book. If I can find that stinking SD card I'll show you pictures.

And I couldn't wait for Easter to pull out my cute little chicken friends. I think they're going to come to work with me tomorrow. :D

My first handmade book

This is so much fun. I love bookbinding class so far! Can't wait to do more.

Other than that, things are going okay. I like my job... when I don't have to work too closely with my boss. Don't get me wrong, the guy is amazing at what he does. He's just not very kind about his constructive criticism. He's almost always right about what to do to make things look right, but goodness he can be mean about how he tells you to change it. I'll survive. I have to. Maybe I'll even learn something. We'll see.

Let the Resolution Begin!

Well everyone, it's finally time. I waited 27 days to get started on my resolution to get into better shape because I wanted to enter the Golds Gym Total Body Transformation challenge thing. I ate more than normal for the first part of the month (winning strategy? probably not) so I would weigh a lot at the beginning of the contest.

I will NOT share my before photos with you until after I reach my goal, but you can know that I started out at 173 pounds. I'm telling all of YOU this because it makes me want to work harder so that I can tell you in May that it's at least 20 pounds lighter than that!

Anyway, work and school and this new resolution are keeping me busy busy busy. I finished my first book of the year and am on to my next one. Still feels like I've bitten off more than I can chew, but I haven't choked on it yet! :)

Book Binding & Web Design

I'm taking a community education class on bookbinding. I am so super excited about it. We're going to make hard bound books and leather bound books and book boxes and all sorts of amazing things.

January Schmanuary

January blows. I am so over it! I am tired of looking out the window and seeing nothing but gray. I am tired of walking outside and hearing little birds crying because they're so cold... beeks chattering and shivering... poor little things. AND I am very tired of scraping the ice/frost/snow off my car before work.

Christmas is FAST upon us!!!

I was tired of looking at my gross picture so I decided to post again. I don't have a whole lot going on with me right now. Just working and trying to get everything all ready for Christmas. I have not been loving the crowds this year. Seems like every store is so full of people that it takes 3 times as long to get finished with what you went out to do. Tis the season. *shrug*

We're having a little party here at my mom's house for a few of the Rigby family side (38 of us!!! yikes!). It should be fun. I haven't seen some of my cousins in probably 6 or 7 years!!! I'll try to remember to take some pictures.

Okay. Well I miss you all and hope you're having a lovely holiday season!

Nothing says love like...

A dead mouse in your bag?!? EEEEW! Well at least I know that my cat loves and appreciates me for all I do for him. My purse was hanging up and I went to go to work the other day and found that he had packed me a "lunch".

Ha ha! Good thing I'm not too squeemish! Silly cat.

I totally just fell down the stairs before I wrote this! You know when your heel just catches the edge of the stair and then it keeps thumping down all the others... yeah! Ouch! I'm going to go wimper somewhere.

Time has been getting away from me again... still. :-S

I've been busy with work and doctors. I get home from those things and have dinner and suddenly the evening news is on and it's time for bed again! Wow.

Well my hands are feeling a bit better than they were. I've been looking at my x-rays the doctor took and a lot of things make more sense to me. For instance, it's tough to sit or stand or walk for any extended period of time and I always thought it was just because I'm lazy. Turns out that the twisting/curving of my spine is causing some of the trouble.
My regular doctor says there's nothing they can do about it and that all I can do is try not to aggravate it with being overweight or lifting too much.
I didn't like that answer too much (other than that I do agree about staying in shape so as not to aggravate). So I've been seeing a chiropractor. He's the one who's been able to help relieve the pain in my hands and fingers.

I really want to feel good enough to sit, stand or exercise so I hope this guy can help me find a way. At least he's trying. I'm doing exercises to strengthen my muscles and promote neurological growth... Hopefully that'll help.



This picture makes me laugh. The doctor had me open my mouth as wide as I could and then he took it. So here's my smiling or laughing xray.
