I had a nice birthday. Went and saw 2 movies today and had a great lunch at the Olive Garden. May I just say, the young Captain Kirk is much more dashing on big screen isn't he. :)

Alright. Well I must dash. It is late!! But I have a plant I can't identify that I will very soon post photos of. We'll see if any of you know what it is! :)

Hi everyone,
I'm having a hard day today. I'm trying to be positive, but I feel pretty lost. I don't feel like I have any one to talk to about it. I should be in church, but I can't take it today. The weather is very fitting for my mood.

So... if anyone still reads this blog, S.O.S.
Prayers will be much appreciated. I'm going to go see if I can't talk myself into going to church.

Been gone a while

Sorry for the lack of posts for a while. I've been in transition. Life is good. Just looking for work and trying to keep myself busy. I'll write again soon. I've got to go take out my contacts... they're killin' me!

Wolverine

I saw the new movie "Wolverine" last week and I just have to say that I loved it! What did you all think of it?

There's not much new going on with me today. Later this week I'm taking a very exciting trip to Palmyra, NY. I love my adventures with Aunt Julie! Seriously... I would be such a dull, un-cultured girl without her! Anyway, we'll be gone for a week.

Some people wanted to know, and others, I could'a swore I told... but the plan is to live in SLC with Julie until she leaves on her English teaching adventure in August(?) or July... not sure. Then I'll be living with my lovely parents again. You all should come over and see what kind of havoc I have wreaked on the place come October or so. But you should come see me before then too!

I have been given the okay to paint ONE small wall in the basement bathroom purple... I also intend to set up a nice little kitchen area for myself and a make-shift living room too! So it'll be like my own little apartment! I'm living with my parents while I pay them back the massive amounts of dough they spent on me to get me through college!

Anyway, I am still looking for a new job. I miss my old one. Alas... it is time to move on. I really want to get hired on somewhere at a print shop that does full bindery work. I've always wanted to know how books are put together.

I Graduated!!!

Hi Everyone,
Can you believe it!!! After 10 years and many many doubts, I finally got my bachelor of Fine Arts degree!!! I can't tell you how excited I am about this!!!

I checked my grades today and yes, it is true... I really will receive that diploma! I got an "A" and an "A-" in my last two classes! I couldn't have asked for more! I guess all the bargaining with the professors must've worked!

SO anyhow, I have been kicking it back this first day as an ALUMNUS of Utah State. Tomorrow I'll be trying to organize my stuff in my new pad and then its on to the JOB SEARCH! Yikes! It's tough out there right now.

For those who wish to know, yes, I am back with the folks come August. Until then, I'm living in SLC with Aunt Julie. You all should come and visit me.

My head hurts, it's been an exhausting week of finals and moving and a LOT of driving! I'm going to bed!

ONLY 2 DAYS LEFT!!!

People! I only have 2 days left as a college student!!! I SERIOUSLY CAN'T BELIEVE THIS!!! I don't think it has sunk in just yet. I am SUPER happy about it... but I'm thinking to myself... "now what???" (the biking and the swimming)

I'm at work today. I have to get my replacement trained. I also have to get moved out of my house by tonight!!! Dahhhh!!! Busy busy busy!

I want to go to the new X-men movie on Friday. Does anyone want to go with me???

And NO... it isn't the soda! ;) I'm tired of being stressed out. I feel like being silly.

Tuesday is the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) show if you want to come it is in the art building between 2:30 and 8:30 p.m. I'd love to see you there. Yes, I mean YOU! So call me if you have questions.

Saturday is the graduation ceremony. It starts at 9 in the spectrum. There are not tickets it's first come first served seating. You are welcome to come to that as well.

The family is having dinner that night. If you want to come you're invited, but I guess we're all paying for ourselves. :)

This just proves I'm strange

So today as I was walking across campus dodging mutilated worms on the sidewalk and this thought popped into my head;

"Would I even recognize a worm heart if I saw one?" lol.

I suppose I should explain...

I was having a random conversation recently about cutting worms in half and why both ends still live when you do it. We were talking about how worms have a heart in both sides of their body and they can reproduce the rest of their body.

Ha ha. I got curious about that, so today I took a short break from homework and looked up what ACTUALLY happens to a worm when you cut it in half. Really only one side lives... That's the side with the hearts. (They have 5).
Anyway, the tail moves away because this is an evolutionary defense mechanism to get predators to hopefully eat the tail instead of the head.

The worm can re-grow a tail.

All this time I thought that both sides went on living. Now I feel educated! This is going to change my day to day life. The world is going to be different now. ;)

Just kidding. Okay, well I suppose I don't have an excuse to be playing around right now... I better get back to work on my school projects.
