Tank Wars 2009!!!

Well As you can see... Tank Wars 2009 was a great success! It involved mass destruction of perfectly innocent toys and a bit of crude humor from the Moulton family. Lets just say Elisa is ready to have that baby!

My tank, "Death - by Matel" withstood the fiery wrath of "Big Birtha", Elisa's tank rather quite well. But I'll just say, there was plenty of estrogen to go around in this match!

Big Birtha did not go unscathed.

Here is what is left after Dan and Dianna faced off. Somehow I think Dan's Mega tank won.

Well Dianna, you had a good start on him.

Here's Dan's modified tank. It was completely awesome! I can't remember what he named it.

Dianna's Monster tank was pretty cool as well!

Another shot of the aftermath.

Big Birtha facing off with Death by Matel

Vickie's tank was called "When 'IT' hits the fan!!" The head sorta melted in battle against Julie's "Hairy Beaded Quackichellar."

Dennis' contender was the Polly Pocketinator. It lure's little Polly in unawares until she is standing literally on the edge of destruction.

Another few shots of "Death - by Matel" before battle.

I told Elisa that this tank was too inappropriate to photograph or put on the blog, but I have relented. It is funny. I think Elisa is quite ready to be done being pregnant! Lol. It's coming out in her creative outlets.

Trent's vehicle is named the urban assault vehicle. Heavy emphasis on the first three letters of assault.

And here's a pre-battle photo of Julie's "Hairy Beaded Quackichellar". Love it!

Andrea and Rhyan also did tank wars, but weren't able to do them the same time as ours so I don't have photos yet. I'll get them up when she sends them to me.

Happy Pioneer Day

It was a nice weekend. I spent a lot of this week helping Elisa get her new place ready and moved into. Lots and lots of work! But hopefully they are settled enough that they'll get along. I forgot to take pictures... Probably it will be better once a bunch more of the stuff gets put away anyway.

We did Tank Wars 2009 last night! It was awesome! I will post photos very soon!

I'm so grateful to my pioneers! Happy Pioneer Day everyone!

A little catch up

I thought I had better do a little catching up with my photos. Last week Julie did an Art Weekend with Erika and her little friend Gabriella (my cousin's 6 yr old daughter). They made a whole bunch of fun projects. I got to help them with a few of them. This is an Egyptian Name Plate; also known as a Cartuche. I probably spelled that wrong.

Saturday afternoon we got together with Andrea's family, Elisa's family, Chris' family and my parents to have a Boat Regalia at Farimont Park in Sugarhouse. Each of the kids had decorated a little wooden boat and had SO much fun playing in the stream with them. We decided not to have a race but just let everyone play.

There was only one casualty. Joshua's boat went missing under the concrete at the end of the stream probably never to be found again. Chris spent at least 20 minutes with a long stick poking under the bridge to find it, but to no avail. There was discovered a small dead thing though which was covered in moss. Eeeew!

Elisa's Birthday was on Sunday and Julie made her this adorable little cat cake! We laugh because the color of the eyes started melting on the cats so they all look like they're crying, "Don't eat me!"
Julie is such a fun aunt and person in general. She is always organizing these fun events. She brings so much culture and entertainment to us! I sure appreciate and love her!

The Saga of the Slug

Bleh.... I have been a super slug this month. I kinda got bored with things around the house and I haven't found a job yet and so I got all slug-like and slimmed my way into my bed and slept all day several times! That's even more boring than all that stuff I was doing around the house! But I have very interesting dreams.

Sigh. I know I'm going to be sad I didn't find way more super cool things to do with myself while I was unemployed. The only trouble is I feel way guilty if I do anything that costs money right now. *roll of the eyes*

I did an art day with Julie and Erika on Thursday. It was so much fun! We made accordion-style books, Egyptian name plates, beads, and ... geesh something else... We did a lot of fun crafts. I got sick on Friday and couldn't go back. I don't know what it was, but I'm feeling a little better today.

In other entertaining news... I've gone out a couple times with a real good looking and amusing guy. We'll just call him "Boba" for now. He's pretty busy, so I probably wont get to see him again for several weeks. :(

Getting a little worried

You know, if money can't grow on trees... maybe it can just come from the bathroom. ? I don't fully understand this photo... I guess it is saying that you're wasting your money... Using it to wipe your unmentionables? I'm not sure.

I am getting pretty nervous about money. I have still been applying for jobs and haven't got one yet. I had another good interview today with a recruiting company. The job they are hiring for sounds like fun to me. It would be designing the little give-away gifts you get at conferences and such. For example, t-shirts, pens, mugs, etc.

Money is very very very tight right now. I have more bills than I can even begin to think about paying. I really hope I get something soon. I've paid my tithing and I think that will help. I really don't want to have to go into bankruptcy over such a small amount. (but that's just me borrowing trouble!)

In happier news, I get to go and spend some time with Julie, Erika and Gabriella today making some art projects. Julie has it all set up. I think the kids will really like it.

How to be Happy

Awww! Isn't that cute! It's an itty bitty fuzzy little wet mouse. I want one.

The other day I had a headache and I was making a frowny face. Bryce asked me what was wrong and I told him that I was sad because my head hurts. He asked why and I told him I didn't know why it hurt but it was making me sad. So he then came over to me and said, "I can fix it!" and without pause, he grabbed the corners of my mouth and pushed them up into a smile.

I laughed. It definitely fixed my sadness. "See, I can fixed it!" He said. So cute!

Happy Independence Day

Wishing you all a happy 4th of July. I went and saw the fireworks in Sugarhouse with a friend. I am so sad that this was their last year for a while of doing it.

Uhg! I have been staying up WAY too late this past week! I've been hanging out with some night-owl friends and wow... I am tired all day today. The friends and activities were lots of fun. :) So it was all worth it.

Well the tentative date set for the first ever Lindsay Tank Wars is set for the 23rd at the Dennis Lindsay house. I've bought my tank but haven't even gotten it out of the box yet to alter it.

Didn't get it.

Well It would appear that I did not get the job with Reagan. They did not call me back and when I called to check on the status, I was sent to an answering machine and no one called back about the message I left for that. Sigh... Its a little sad, but I'm still working on finding something.

My sis and her kids are now just about settled in our house. Its fun living with toddlers. Bryce and I made a lego house the other day. Here's a picture!. Well I've got to run. I'm going down to visit a friend.

Does anyone Blog anymore?

You see a lot of ads about making money using a blog, but I don't have close friends who are blogging anymore. That is why I am just g...
