Well friendly people... we are down to the finish line! Holy cow!!!! I got my graduation cap and gown yesterday and also got suckered into purchasing a framed diploma. Why I oughtta!!!
Anyway, it's done now! And here is a small sampling of what I have to get done before Thursday of next week;
Get business cards printed;
Get resume printed on nice paper;
Finish designing portfolio projects that need to be photographed;
Get said projects printed with raised ink at a print shop;
Hire photographer to take pictures of my portfolio products;
Take photos and design layouts for them;
Get my domain name transferred from one website to another;
Learn how to set up a website at said domain;
reformat ALL portfolio pieces to look good on the web;
Set up website;
There's a ton more, but I feared that I was beginning to bore someone... Certainly I was beginning to strike fear into my own heart. lol.
Anyway, I better stop fooling around on the blog and get to work!!!
Love you all!

Catching Up
Well, we've passed the last midterm for Portfolio class and have but 1 more half semester to go. I am just a little excited! lol. This picture is from last Thursday (the day of my midterm presentation). I decided the "wow" lines make a much better background than my messy bedroom.
It kind of looks like asian propaganda doesn't it. ... lol...
Look how close we're getting to graduation!!! I can't believe how fast time is going! And trust me, I am NOT complaining!
Today I woke up from a typical Sunday nap and looked outside to see a bazillion cars all grid-locked in the church's parking lot behind my apartment. I was like "Oh crap! Did I miss the meeting to go to Heaven???" Lol. Then I remembered that they're having the Draper Temple dedication today. That's probably who all these people are.
My first project in Portfolio class this semester had to do with designing a home product line. Mine was spring cleaning and centered around these cute gloves. This photo however, shows how I felt by the end of the project! SICK of it! I couldn't get things to look like what the professor wanted. SO annoying!
Here's a picture of 2 of my roommates Kaylee and Ashley. I did Kaylee's hair for her valentine's day date. Ashley and I also had dates. I did my own hair and Ashley's friend did hers.I was rather pleased with myself. lol. Actually I think Kaylee just has easy hair to style. But it did turn out majorly cute.
See. Here's what they look like when I DONT do their hair. ;) Tee hee. Just kiddin'.
Oh dear me, I guess we'll end on this photo. Here's what I looked like on Valentine's day. I guess it'll do. I was mad though because the top went flat even before I left for my date!
Lol. So there's a few pictures to catch everyone up on what I've been up to.

Top of the Morning to Yeh!
Here we have a stolen leprechaun picture. Note the "iC" in front of the image. Sorry iC, I just needed a leprechaun, he's not selling anything here... except lung cancer.
Yep, Heidi is avoiding homework once again. *rolling my eyes at myself* Only 45 more days! I have to keep going!!! It is DIFFICULT though! Its all nice outside and I don't feel good and and and... I have enough excuses to go on and on.
So I went to the grocery store this morning before I took my pain pills because I needed milk. I just want to say that the old thing they say about not going shopping while hungry really is true! Sheesh! I didn't escape the grocery store without 2 bags of chips, a donut, ice cream and an instant lasagna! Sigh. I guess the masses at the beach will have to avert their eyes to my massiveness. lol.
Okay I REALLY am rambling. I suppose I can be talked into at least opening the file that has my graphic design assignments in it. Good luck to everyone today on this lovely St. Patty's Day!!!

Photos
Some photos for you all. First there is Chuck. He's my bad luck duck. He has a pocket for bandaids and he used to have smarties in there (my "pills"). Caroline made him for me and I think he's adorable!
Andrea and Rhyan + kids brought me the daffodils. I have some beautiful flowers from Julie too... haven't got a picture of those yet.
And the other two photos... Those are of how yucky and swollen my belly looks! Sorry if they gross anyone out. I suppose it's one more reason not to get belly piercings huh. I've got 12 staples in my belly! They kind of itch. Its strange... looking at them doesn't gross me out, but if I touch them at all I get light headed!
Anyway, I'm dizzy again, so I'm going to lay down now.

Barren, but pudgy
I got sick of looking at that picture with the smoker lady. Therefore anyone who reads this has to read some rambling of a young woman on pain killers.
I took some more pictures today. I look at least 3 months pregnant today with all the swelling in my belly! Thankfully I won't have to wait 6 months to look thinner. On the other hand, I also wont have a cute baby of my very own in 6 months. Lucky lucky kid. :) lol. I WILL however, have a degree! And that makes me happy. And this note is RANDOM!!
I'm having a reaction to my surgery or meds or something. My neck glands are all swollen and the skin on the backs of my arms hurts so bad like it has a real bad sunburn on it and somebody scratched it. I'm waiting for the doctor to call me back and tell me if I should be concerned about either condition.
Okay. This is a boring post. But at least you're not left staring at smoker lady. :D
Love ya!

The Bad Luck Duck
What is this strange picture? I really don't know. I was just intrigued by the green lipstick. I thought... That would be fun for about 5 minutes huh! The shirt and the cigarette are rather ... well... MEH. The pants are okay. I assume she's trying to do a look-a-like thing for the animated character in the top right??? Whoo knows.
I got the greatest gift in the mail today! Caroline sent me a "Bad Luck Duck" doll. He came with bandaids and smarties (pills). It totally made my day! Thanks Care!!! I'll get a picture of him on here soon. I can't tonight because I've got to talk myself into a good night's rest before the slice and dice tomorrow.
For anyone who is interested; it is at 8:30 tomorrow morning and I probably will be incoherent for at least the rest of the day if not a few more days. Anyhow, I think everything is going to be fine, despite my tendency to worry so much. So if by some crazy turn of events, it isn't, Please all of you, Know that I love you very much and if I die, I am going to come and do crazy stuff to you in your sleep!!! Ha ha ha! Totally Kidding!!!
Oh, and to Elisa... Who felt left out from the Pointer Sisters post, Yes, I do remember that you were involved in that tradition later on when you were old enough to dance around with us. Remember doing headstands on the couch? Remember playing with Rastus, our dog, "Doctor with the Big BUM BABY!!!" Yep. Good times. I think you should write the honorary blog about that one. lol.
And because Danny is going to feel left out too if I don't mention him... Remember when Andrea, Elisa and I dressed you up as a little girl. Boy that was fun. I wish we had a picture of that now! lol. And who can forget how you almost blew me up with an illegal rocket. Or maybe it wasn't illegal before you "modified" it. But it was definately lethal afterward!
Alright... I am talking myself into putting the computer down and going to sleep. Love you all!!!
Jump!
Today's fabulous entry is dedicated to the Pointer Sisters, My mother and of course my lovely older sister, Andrea.
I was on Facebook and someone had looked up the #1 hit on the day they were born... So OF COURSE I had to look up what song was the coolest the day I was born. It was FUNKYTOWN by lipps. So that got me looking at some other fun old 70's songs. And I was remembering playing on the furniture with my sister. So I downloaded one of our classic dance songs.
We had to be between 3 and 5 years old. Mom and Dad had a record of the Pointer Sisters and while she was doing the dishes sometimes she'd put it on for us. The name of the song is "Jump". We used to take song lyrics so litterally! We would jump from the couch to the floor and run across the room to the chair and repeat. All the while giggling so hard we could hardly breathe.
Good times. If I can find one I'll post a picture of the two of us around that age.

Spring Break
Oh Helwowe...
Lol. I am on my spring break and I only have one more day until I go under the knife. So guess what I was SUPPOSED to be doing today... That's right, I was supposed to be getting my midterm presentation ready because it is due as soon as I get back to school and I probably won't be able to do much after surgery. Do you think I did anything today? NOOoooooOO!
Oh well. Not much else to talk about. I am really nervous about this surgery. I don't know why. I don't usually get real nervous with medical stuff, but for some reason I am about this. Anyway, I'll be at my mom's on Wednesday night.
Okay, I am really going to do some homework!

Rockstar
I got all depressed today. You know how it goes. I sat around my house way too long feeling all picked on and junk. A big shout out to Andrea and Erika for coming and pulling me out of my little tantrum! Thank you!
We went and saw that new movie "confessions of a shopaholic." It was cute. I like that actress. She's very pretty. The only thing I have found I don't really like about shows like this one is it makes women look so stupid - like we have no brains. But that's getting too serious. Its just a movie.
Anyway, the ducks were in the parking lot today and how bad can a day be when ducks are involved? Thats what I said to myself. :) I'm sure I'll feel better tomorrow.
Sending love out to all my peeps! XOXO

Spring Break
Okay the final run down for spring break is that I am going to have surgery on Wednesday to get the gal bladder out. It'll take 4 or 5 days to recover from that then the next week I'll be having the cancer cells frozen off on Thursday. SO if anyone wants to see me LOOPY on drugs, there's your time frame.

Disappointing news
So with all this medical hoo haw that has been going on I've been feeling kinda ... BLEH! Today I got a call from the nurse at the Women's Center part of Logan Regional Hospital. They found some more cancer cells.
So spring break looks rather eventful. I'll be getting my gal bladder out and freezing some little cancer cells off. I guess the cancer removal wont actually take place until the week after Spring Break, but still. From the way the doctors talked about it, neither condition seems life threatening.
The cancer was caught so early that this'll probably be the only thing I'll need to have done for it... I hope I hope! But it is just a rather lame spring break if you ask me. That and I need all this time to finish my schoolwork in time for graduation. I think I'll be okay. I hope so.
Signing off for now.
